How many photos will you take?

There is no fixed number of images captured and is often determined by the mood of your baby on the day! 20-30 images is the average displayed at the viewing.

How long does a Cherubs sitting last?

Appointments are booked every 45 minutes on a Cherubs day, but the actual photography usually lasts 20-30 minutes.

How big is the Folio?

The images in the Cherubs Folio are approximately 5" x 4".

What is the registration fee for?

From February 1st 2011, the £45 registration fee has been introduced due to the number of customers who book an appointment, but fail to show up for the first sitting. This is 3 sittings for the price of 1.... PLUS the triple folio is included in this price.

Can I bring an older brother or sister to be photographed with my baby?

Brothers and sisters are welcome to join in for some photos at the end of any of the Cherubs sittings, but those images cannot be chosen for the Cherubs Folio. Results from the 2nd and 3rd sittings are usually most successful.

Can we have a family portrait at the same time?

Mum & Dad, brothers and sisters are welcome to join in for some photos at the end of any of the Cherubs sittings, but results from the 2nd and 3rd sittings are usually most successful. Any extended family would need to be booked as a separate portrait sitting.

Can we come for a Cherubs sitting at the weekend?

We are unable to offer a FREE sitting for Cherubs at the weekend. If you wish to book a weekend appointment the standard portrait sitting fee £45.00 will apply to each sitting.

Can we have colour images in the Cherubs Folio?

Yes. The free Cherubs Folio is either a black triple folio with 3 black & white images or a white triple folio with 3 colour images. It is possible to purchase images in colour or black & white as additional orders.

When do we see the images?

The images are usually ready to view within 3-4 days of the sitting. An appointment will normally be made at the end of the sitting for the following week. Viewing's can be arranged during midweek, daytime or evening. Weekend appointments are limited due to weddings and family portrait commitments.

Can we view the images online?

All viewing's take place in the studio where it is much easier to show various options available and answer any questions you may have. An exception may be made for distant relatives after the initial viewing, but this is subject to a minimum order and upload charge.

Can we buy digital images on a CD?

High-resolution digital files may be purchased on CD £35.00 per image with a minimum order of 8 images from a single sitting.

Is there convenient parking?

There is always free parking available right outside the studio.

Will I be pressured into buying photographs?

When you choose your folio photo at each viewing, you will be given the opportunity to purchase copies if you wish, but there is no pressure whatsoever.

What's in it for Christopher Hill Photography?

There is no obligation to buy photographs from these sittings, though most people cannot resist them. Because you do not receive the folio until three sittings have been completed, many parents and grandparents wish to have extra copies straight away. Many clients continue to use our services long after 'Cherubs' has been completed, often recommending us to their friends and families too.

It's going to cost me a fortune then!

The cherubs price list includes discounts from the normal portrait price list, PLUS we have special 'Cherubs' packs available for those who wish to purchase a several for family and friends. You may buy as many or few as you wish. Photos cost as little as £15.00 each when bought in a pack. An individual 8” x 6” photos is £30, reducing to £15 each with quantity discounts, (a mixture of images). Bumper bundles offer even better value with a number of images presented without mounts.
