Had a lovely day yesterday with Vicki & Paul on their wedding day in Datchet and Windsor Great Park.

Photo of the day is a personal project.
This will be a photo that I have taken on that particular day. Sometimes this will be from a photoshoot or wedding on that day, others will be a photo taken specifically for the project. The selected photo may not necessarily be the best or favourite of the day, the only criteria is that is was TAKEN on that day…. This is quite a challenge and I know this will be difficult to maintain. I can already tell you there will be some pretty random images, and certainly won’t be masterpieces every day as I struggle to find time and inspiration for a daily image. The first image is a self portrait taken 1st Jan.

August sees the busiest month of 2010 for wedding bookings with a number of mid-week & Sunday weddings as well as the Saturdays.
Strangely enough I still have one Saturday free and if I do not book a wedding my wife is likely to see it as an opportunity to drag me round the shops!!
So if you have not booked a photographer for your wedding on Saturday 28th August 2010, or know someone getting married that day, call me quick on 01628 662574, for details of a very special photography discount!
Shutterfly Survey on wedding trends reveals 22 percent of the couples surveyed felt they didn’t spend enough on their wedding photographer!
Of course spending more money is no guarantee of satisfaction, but the idea of booking a cheap photographer who provides all the images on disc (often uncorrected, straight out of camera), can be a false economy. Spend more on your photographer!
Even with a disc of corrected images, it can be a daunting task to sort through hundreds of images and then try to design and have printed, an album that you are delighted with. Spend more on your photographer!
I can spend many hours designing an album, so goodness knows how long it would take someone doing it for the first time. I suspect it often gets muddled together in the end, just to get it finished, and I’m sure this must be one of the reasons for disappointment. Spend more on your photographer!
Quantity cannot replace quality, so it is still essential you choose photographer who can provide quality images, or sorting through your ‘average’ wedding photos can be very disheartening. Spend more on your photographer!
The range of quality between albums and books is as varied as photographers prices! We pride ourselves on using quality products produced in the UK. Spend more on your photographer!
OK, so the above is a rather tongue in cheek, but there really is a concern that almost a quarter of the couples surveyed, felt they should have spent their money more wisely.
Below is a quote from the Shutterfly Wedding Trends Survey:
Before you ask a friend to photograph your wedding with their expensive new camera consider this……
Had a lovely wedding at the Ravenswood in West Sussex yesterday with Alison & Jeremy. Sadly some VIP guests were missing due to ill health or stranded abroad due to the flight ban, but a very special day all the same.
